Our motivation in starting Heron Advancement is simple: helping people become the best that they can be and empowering what is possible. We have been the beneficiary of great mentors, advisors, generous friends, and great leaders. We have also met a vast amount of college students and graduates that are not living up to their potential. Whether it is perpetual rejection, no interviews, or taking any role with any company. All of this is preventable.
Our system has been proven and adapted over time. Finding a job today is different than it was as early as one year ago. We understand the changing dynamics and will help you navigate the tricky route of getting the job and career that you deserve.

My Purpose
I started this company because I want to help people become who they want to be. It’s that simple. I love seeing others succeed and I truly feel energy when we celebrate together. After all, having a partner to help you navigate an ever-more complex career landscape is becoming more of an art than a science; I have the experiences to guide you.
About Shelley
CEO Shelley Herek-Hardy brings a diverse level of professional and personal experiences - ranging from working within the research and diagnostic science fields to a successful career selling healthcare products. She has her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s degree in Biology from New York University.
In her spare time, she enjoys time with family, construction/DIY, design, volunteering in her community and practicing yoga.

My Purpose
Reflecting on my personal experience, I have learned quite a few lessons along my career journey - a period now spanning > 25 years. Where you start often defines where you go and how much more fulfilling the journey. As others have said, the decisions you make today will influence your life for the next 5-10 years. And I agree.
Let me help you get to where you want to go. I will partner with you to be a trusted partner that will deliver a customized approach. The great thing about our business is that you get Shelley and/or me - not a junior member sitting in a cubicle.
About Bill
Bill has > 25 years of progressing responsibilities across many disciplines and interviews regularly for future talent. Bill has a B.A. with Honors from Penn State and an MBA from m Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business.
In his spare time he enjoys time with family, kids sports (and pretending to still have talent in the sports he watches), exercising, travel, and helping others.
